Evelin Kasikov‘s cool cross-stitching has been causing a stir for a while now. We love how she’s managed to reinvent a medium that seemed like it could be reinvented no more.

Graphic designer Evelin is best known for her CMYK technique, where she separates out colours to achieve the look of print in handstitched form – colliding craft with technology in the most striking way.

We caught up with her at her Craft Meets Music exhibition in May and she blew us away with her cross-stitched close-ups of famous album covers.

However, being type addicts, it’s the cross-stitched lettering that really caught our eye, and we are delighted to give you a sneak peek of Evelin’s 3D alphabet – a handmade typeface, which doubles as an optical illusion.

Find out more a bit about Evelin over at It’s Nice That.
